Cause analysis of inaccurate measurement of metal tube rotameter

Metal tube rotameter mainly consists of a measuring tube and an indicator. It uses a magnetic float to move up and down in the measuring tube. The position of the float is transferred to the dial of the indicator through the magnetic transfer system to indicate the flow value. The accuracy of metal tube rotameter is generally 2.5 level, but sometimes the customer reflects that the reading is inaccurate and the error is relatively large, which also has a reason. The specific reasons may appear in the following aspects.

1. The influence of magnetic coupling.

Long-term high temperature or harsh environment make magnetic coupling magnetism decline, and the action of float can not drive the indication of pointer. Another reason is that a lot of iron powder particles are adsorbed in the metal tube rotameter. The solution is to use magnetic filter in front of metal tube float flowmeter to filter impurities such as iron scraps and iron powder.

2. Deformation of internal structure of metal tube rotameter.

It may be that mechanical transmission components such as pointer gears are jammed, tetrafluoro floats or linings are deformed, etc. In this case, only the replacement of floats and linings can solve the problem. In addition, because the medium is too viscous and sticks to the float and the inner wall, besides causing the error of the flowmeter, it will also cause the malfunction of the pointer of the metal tube float flowmeter. In this case, the original accuracy can be restored only by removing and cleaning the flowmeter.

3. A guide rod is installed in the middle of the metal tube rotator flowmeter. The float can run smoothly up and down the guide rod to reduce the jump of the float.

If the valve is opened or closed quickly, the phenomenon of cavitation or water hammer will occur, which will make the float collide fiercely in the flowmeter, and cause the float to deform or the guide rod to bend. Such problems can be avoided by slowly opening and closing valves.

4.
